Police searching for Myrtle Beach bank robbery suspect
Horry County police are searching for a man who robbed a Myrtle Beach bank Friday afternoon.
Police responded to the First Palmetto Savings Bank at 1204 48th Avenue North around 1:11 p.m. today, according to Lt. Raul Denis, Horry County police spokesman.
A teller told police a white male, in his mid-40s, presented a note saying he had a gun. The teller said the note also demanded money, Denis said.
The man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and was seen getting into a gray sedan of unknown make and model and driving east on 48th Avenue North, Denis said.
No one was hurt during the robbery, Denis said.
The man is described as about 6 ft. tall, skinny, wearing a gray sweatshirt, hat and sunglasses, Denis said. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police at 843-915-8477.
