Man wanted in sexual assault of 8-year-old captured

A man wanted in connection with the sexual assault of an 8-year-old girl has been arrested in Florence, according to a spokesman with the Horry County Police Department.

Enrico Devon Jones, 24, of Myrtle Beach, was arrested by Florence police and will be extradited to Horry County once his charges there are dealth with, according to Lt. Raul E. Dennis of the HCPD.

The incident allegedly occurred on Sept. 10 when Jones allegedly picked up the victim from school and took her to a car wash. There, he tried to take her pants off and touch her.

The victim had told her grandmother that Jones had taken her pants off and touched her.
