Four charged with armed robbery in Surfside robbery

Surfside Beach police charged four people with armed robbery after two victims were robbed at River City Cafe.

All four people were charged with kidnapping and armed robbery: Dominique Andrews, 18, of Surfside; Brandon Jordan, 19, of Garden City; Daishon Green, 19, of Myrtle Beach; and Jordan Powell, 17, of Myrtle Beach, according to Surfside Beach police chief Rodney Keziah.

Powell was also charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime, Keziah said.

Officers responded to River City Cafe in Surfside on Sunday to a report of an armed robbery. Two victims told police they were exiting the restaurant when they were approached by a man, police said.

The victims told police they were robbed at gunpoint by the suspect, police said.

Through an investigation with Myrtle Beach police, Surfside police identified five individuals involved in the robbery. The four suspects listed above were arrested, with charges on a fifth person pending, Keziah said.

“This is still an ongoing and fluid investigation,” Keziah said. “We anticipate further charges on these individuals as well as on the fifth suspect, whom is pending arrest.”
