Update: Victim in Conway shooting in stable condition, police still investigating

The victim who suffered a gunshot Thursday was said to in stable condition Friday morning, according to Lt. Selena Small with Conway police.

Small also said the victim is from the Conway area.

Police are still investigating the shooting off Park Hill Drive near Elm Street, authorities said.

Officers responded at 2:49 p.m. Thursday to Park Hill Drive and Elm Street in Conway where they found a vehicle wrecked in the ditch, Small said.

The driver suffered a gunshot wound and was taken by EMS to the hospital, Small said.

Elm Street is blocked off between Kenneth Street and 17th Avenue.
