Myrtle Beach man arrested in connection with criminal sexual assault with minor
A Myrtle Beach man was arrested Sept. 18 in connection with criminal sexual conduct after police said he touched a young girl in August at an Ocean Boulevard convenience store, police said.
Gary Dale Finney, 47, is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor under age 11 and is being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center, according to jail records.
Officers were called about 1:40 p.m. Aug. 24 to Lauren’s Food Mart at 2502 S. Ocean Blvd. where the victim’s 30-year-old mother reported the incident, according to a police report.
The woman told officers the victim was touched inappropriately, police said.
No further details were provided.
Finney’s bond had not been set by Thursday morning, jail records show.
