Wallet stolen in Myrtle Beach after suspect claims he has gun

A 57-year-old man told Myrtle Beach police he was robbed him of his wallet while he was sitting inside his vehicle in a restaurant parking lot, authorities said.

Officers were called about 11 p.m. Tuesday to a gas station on the 200 block of South Kings Highway, where the victim reported the incident.

The victim said he was sitting inside his vehicle in the parking lot of the China Chef, 1470 S. Kings Hwy., when he was approached by a woman and two men, according to the police report.

The victim said one of the men told him he had a gun while the other man started looking through his vehicle, police said. The man’s wallet, containing his credit cards and identification documents, was taken from his vehicle, authorities said.

The investigation was continuing Wednesday.
