Two Georgetown County middle school students taken to hospital after possible alcohol overdose
Two 13-year-old Rosemary Middle School students, believed to be under the influence of alcohol, were taken to Georgetown Memorial Hospital Friday morning, authorities said.
Carrie Cuthbertson Weaver, spokeswoman with the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, confirmed the students were taken to the hospital. They were released to their parents from the hospital Friday morning, according to Ray White, spokesman for the Georgetown County School District.
Authorities said the incident is under investigation, but could not release further details.
