Three arrested in connection with Wal-Mart underwear theft attempt
Three women were arrested after authorities said the trio tried to take nearly $300 worth of underwear from a Wal-Mart store, according to a police report.
Dominique Nicole Nance, 19, Keyana Lenette Burris, 18, and Shionna Marie Myers, 18, are each charged with one count of shoplifting $2,000 or less, according to Myrtle Beach Jail records.
Officers were called about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday to the Wal-Mart on Seaboard Street where a 47-year-old female store employee reported the incident, authorities said.
Police said the employee showed them surveillance video, captured about 1:10 p.m, of the women taking a total of 25 pairs of panties from the ladies department, totaling about $269, according to the report.
The employee said she stopped the trio from leaving the store and recovered the store’s property, police said.
Authorities said Wal-Mart employees pressed charges, and the women were taken to the Myrtle Beach Jail for booking.
