Man stabbed on Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach after offering a light
Myrtle Beach police responded to an area hospital after a man said he was stabbed shortly after offering to light a man’s cigarette.
Police reported to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center shortly after 5 a.m. Sunday who said he was heading back to his hotel near the 800 block of South Kings Highway when he saw two black males standing under a street light in the alley way, according to a police report.
One of the men asked the reported victim for a light for his cigarette, and when the man retreived the lighter, the second reported suspect grabbed the back of the victim’s shirt while the other suspect said, “Give it up,” according to the report.
As the victim turned to run away, he said he was cut in the shoulder by a knife and that he didn’t realize he was bleeding until he was running away, police said.
Police are looking for a black male with a beard and mustache, 30 to 35 years old, wearnig a brown hat, brown shorts, and Air Force One-brand shoes. The second suspect is a black male with a goatee that was a few inches long. That suspect had a low-fade haircut and appeared to be in his late 20s.
