Intoxicated assault victim reports Jeep stolen
An intoxicated 47-year-old woman told police a man who assaulted her also took her car after she went to sleep, according to a police report.
Myrtle Beach officers were called about 2:35 a.m. Tuesday to the Ocean Blue Hotel at 2709 Ocean Blvd, where the victim reported her 2014 Jeep Patriot stolen, authorities said.
The victim told police that the suspect had taken her keys earlier that night and that she believed at some point he had left with her Jeep.
Police said the victim was intoxicated and told them she had gone to sleep for some time before waking up and realizing her Jeep was gone.
The victim said that while the suspect didn’t have permission to use her Jeep she did not want to press charges.
Details of the alleged assault were not available on Wednesday morning.
