Police investigate alleged theft, return of a debit card

Myrtle Beach police are investigating a robbery.

About 10:35 Sunday night, the victim told police he was approached by the suspect in the 500 block of 9th Avenue North.

According to the police report, the victim claims the suspect reached inside his shirt pocket and grabbed his wallet. The suspect then pulled out his debit card.

The victim alleges that the suspect then placed a knife cutter to his throat and told him to give him his pin number or he would kill him, according to the report.

The victim told police the suspect went to the ATM to use his card. The suspect then returned and gave it back to him.

According to the police report, the victim alleges that the same suspect took $100 from him a week ago.
