Woman asks police officer for help, arrested for DUI
Myrtle Beach police were called to 29th Avenue North and Robert Grissom Parkway Saturday morning about 8 on a report of a woman allegedly trying to run over a man with her car.
While on the way to the scene, an officer was sitting at a red light at 29th Avenue North and Oak Street when Brigitte Nolan, 48, pulled up beside the patrol car.
According to the police report, Nolan starting yelling to the officer that a man down the road stole her phone and broke into her house.
The officer asked Nolan to pull into a parking lot so he could get more information.
As the officer talked with Nolan, it was discovered that she was the woman that was allegedly trying to run over a man, according to the report.
Nolan told the officer that she was following the man, not trying to hit him, because she wanted to argue with him.
While speaking with Nolan, the officer suspected she was under the influence, according to the report.
Following a field sobriety test, Nolan was placed under arrest for DUI and taken to the Myrtle Beach Jail.
