Myrtle Beach police make more prostitution arrests Tuesday night

After five people were arrested last week in connection with prostitution by Myrtle Beach police, authorities arrested three more people on Tuesday and early Wednesday morning, according to jail booking records.

According to a police report, Courtney Adam Cowan, 39, was charged with sex/prostitution, first offense after she was picked up about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in the area of 16th Avenue South and Yaupon Drive.

A Myrtle Beach police officer working undercover said Cowan got in his car after he approached her, and she agreed to perform sexual acts in exchange for $30, authorities said.

The officer said he then signaled a patrol car behind him, a traffic stop was initiated, and Cowan was placed in handcuffs, according to the report.

Jessica Lynn Hann, 32, and Allan Vindas Picado, 28, were also arrested Tuesday and charged with sex/prostitution, first offense, according to Myrtle Beach Jail booking records.

Police reports were not available about their arrests, but records show Hann was arrested near 17th Avenue South and Ocean Boulevard, and Picado was arrested near North Oak Street.

All those who were recently arrested were each being held at the Myrtle Beach Jail on $781 bond on Wednesday morning, records show.

Tana Archuleta, 29, and Flecia Becker, 32 were also arrested and charged with prostitution, 1st offense Saturday evening just before midnight.

They were arrested near 48th Avenue and North Kings Highway, according to police records.

Caitlin Leigh Affleck, 23, Chelsea Lynn Bryant, 18, Samantha Marie Vasquez, 24, were arrested by Myrtle Beach police and are each charged with sex/prostitution, first offense Thursday, police said.

Bryant and Vasquez were arrested along south Ocean Boulevard, and Affleck was arrested on 13th Avenue South, records show.

Horry County police also arrested 18 people in connection with prostitution in a sting operation last week after police said those arrested sought prostitution services through the Internet.
