Police respond to stabbing Friday night
Police have a suspect in custody after another man was stabbed during an argument, authorities said.
A witness told Myrtle Beach police, who were called about 7:45 p.m. Friday to the Pipers Pointe Apartments on Pipers Pointe Lane for the incident, that a male suspect stabbed a 34-year-old man after an argument broke out between the two men, authorities said.
Police said when they arrived the suspect was outside being detained by another officer, and the victim was lying on the couch, conscious and alert.
The witness told authorities an argument turned physical, and the suspect stabbed the victim before the witness broke up the fight and called police, authorities said.
Police said the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment, but did not give further details about the victim’s injury or what he was stabbed with, according to the report.
Authorities confirmed the suspect was in custody Saturday morning, but charges against him had not been filed.
