Police respond after woman reports man came up behind her and fondled her

A 66-year-old woman told Myrtle Beach police a man grabbed her from behind, lifted her shirt, and “inappropriately touched her breast,” according to a police report.

Authorities said they were called about 7 a.m. Thursday to the 200 block of 79th Avenue North and Ocean Boulevard where the victim told police she was assaulted by an unknown man.

The victim said after she was fondled, the suspect threw her to the ground and ran away from the area, police said.

EMS was called to the scene and treated the victim for a minor scrap to her elbow, according to the report.

Arrests had not yet been made in connection with the incident by Friday morning.
