Horry County man killed over drug deal, court says. Shooter was sent to prison
A Longs man was sentenced to 20 years in prison Wednesday after pleading guilty to the fatal shooting of man last year.
Jabari Akim Coffee, 22, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the killing of Isaiah Conner, also of Longs, according to a press release from the Horry County 15th Circuit Court.
Conner was shot multiple times by Coffee on Jan. 23, 2025, after an altercation about prior dealings and a drug transaction, the release said. Conner died on March 1, 2025, from his injuries.
