North Carolina man dies after shooting outside Myrtle Beach area sports bar
A North Carolina man was killed during a shooting outside a Myrtle Beach area sports bar.
Dannie Pigotte, 41, of Shallotte, died May 2 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center after being transported from Magoo’s Sports & Spirits, 3308 Waccamaw Blvd., according to an email from Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard.
Pigotte was shot in the parking lot of the bar, Willard said. It has been reported the shooting occurred after a fight.
No arrests have been made in the shooting. According to a Horry County Police incident report, the shooting happened a little after 2 a.m.
An altercation occurred in the parking lot outside the bar and two people were shot, one fatally, according to a text Tuesday from Horry County Police spokesperson Thomas Bell.
Bell said that the shooting remains under investigation.
