Myrtle Beach police are searching for a suspect in connection with an armed robbery Tuesday morning.

Officers responding to the 7900 block of North Kings Highway around 11:15 a.m. detained one individual, but police say increased law enforcement presence will remain in the area as the investigation continues, and another suspect remains at large.

The block includes restaurants, medical offices and a Chase bank.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department asks residents to stay vigilant and anyone with additional information to contact the non-emergency line at 843-918-1382.
