A 24-year-old man wearing a facemask and black clothing allegedly robbed a Myrtle Beach pizza store on New Year’s Eve, according to Myrtle Beach Police.

Jamare Alfonzo Clayburn was charged with armed robbery, resisting arrest and possession of marijuana.

Officers responded to Domino’s Pizza, 1706 S. Kings Highway, on Dec. 31, 2025, regarding an armed robbery, according to the arrest warrant. The victim told police that a man walked in wearing black clothing and a mask over the bottom portion of his face. He pointed a gun at the victim and then at the register, the warrant said. The man took $88 and then left on foot.

Later, Clayburn was picked up on unrelated charges on Jan. 2, 2026, the warrant said. Officers determined that he matched a “be on the lookout” report and that he was wearing clothing similar to the defendant described as robbing the pizza restaurant two days earlier, the warrant said.

Security footage at the restaurant and a photo lineup determined that the person who allegedly robbed the store was Clayburn, the warrant said.

Clayburn was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center where he remained Monday without bail for the armed robbery charge.
