Myrtle Beach man arrested after allegedly threatening to rape, kill woman at party
A Myrtle Beach Christmas party ended with unexpected guests from the police department after one attendee allegedly threatened to rape and kill another.
The Dec. 25 party took place at a Jefferson Place residence, and went into the early hours of Dec. 26. Police were summoned to a 6th Avenue apartment, where Justin Leiker, 43, allegedly claimed he was being kicked out of the apartment where he had lived for two months without proper notice. It was then revealed that Leiker was being kicked out because he had allegedly assaulted another resident of the apartment.
The person trying to kick Leiker out had witnessed the alleged assault, according to police reports.
The victim told police that when she attended the Christmas party at Jefferson Place, Leiker arrived “extremely intoxicated.” When he saw her, he asked for a hug, but when she obliged, he allegedly slid his hand up her leg and under her dress, according to the incident report. The victim hit Leiker and told him to never do anything like that again. She then left the party to calm down, the report says.
The victim returned to the party moments later and went upstairs into what she called the “jacuzzi room,” the report states. Leiker was also in the room, and when he saw her, he allegedly grabbed her by her throat and reached up her dress to grab her buttocks, the incident report says.
Leiker then looked at the victim and said “I am going to have sex with you, then I am going to kill you,” according to the incident report.
Leiker was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Sunday on one charge of assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct, first degree. He remains incarcerated with a posted bail of $75,000, online arrest records show. He had also been arrested previously in November 2025 for trespassing on another’s land without permission.
