Myrtle Beach Police investigating possible human skeletal remains near bypass
Myrtle Beach Police are investigating possible human skeletal remains discovered near a bypass on Monday morning, according to an email sent by the department.
The skeletal remains were found along Harrelson Boulevard, under the Highway 17 overpass, Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard confirmed in an email Tuesday afternoon.
Officers were on scene in the area of Harrelson Boulevard and Highway 17 Bypass after the suspected remains were discovered, according to the email sent at 10:11 a.m. Monday.
The email said that an increased law enforcement presence would be in the area, and warned the public to stay away for the team’s safety.
