How much do top police officials make in the Myrtle Beach area? What we learned
On the Grand Strand, millions of dollars are funneled toward public safety officials’ salaries, with a few top earners bringing in a sizeable sum.
Through public records requests, The Sun News obtained copies of the top ten highest-paid police department officials in Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Conway and Horry County. Among the four, Myrtle Beach paid its top law enforcement officials the highest with salaries that totaled $1.08 million. Myrtle Beach also had the highest single earner, Police Chief Amy Prock, with a salary of more than $197,000 annually.
