Police searching for suspect in attempted purse snatching
Myrtle Beach police are looking for a suspect in an attempted purse snatching.
About 3:00 a.m. Saturday, a 49-year-old woman was walking out of a convenience store in the 1600 block of Kings Highway when a man approached her and grabbed her purse.
According to the police report, the victim did not let go of the purse and the suspect allegedly pulled her down and dragged her across the parking lot.
A witness ran over to help, yelling at the man to stop.
The suspect then let go of the purse and ran, according to the report.
Witnesses describe the suspect as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall and 185 pounds. He was wearing a dark red shirt and blue jeans.
