Shots fired, one person stabbed near Myrtle Beach area gym. Suspect sought
One person was stabbed and shots were fired after a fight broke out near a Myrtle Beach area gym on Tuesday night, officials said.
After an apparent fight broke out near X Gym on George Bishop Parkway just before 9 p.m., one person was left with non-life threatening injuries from being stabbed, according to Horry County Police spokesperson Mikayla Moskov. The stabbing victim’s friend then fired a shot into the ground to “stop it all,” Moskov said in a text message.
The incident did not pose a risk to the broader community, and while the stabbing suspect is still at large, they are not believed to pose a risk to the public, according to Moskov.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident as of Wednesday afternoon.
