More than 100 grams of heroin were seized and five people were arrested on Saturday at a house in Murrells Inlet, authorities said.

Agents from the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office and 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit worked together in the bust in a month-long investigation after getting complaints of drug activity at a home on Jordan Landing Road in Murrells Inlet, according to Carrie Cuthbertson, spokesperson with the sheriff’s office.

Agents went to the home and said they found:

  • 80 grams of powder heroin
  • 5 grams of unpackaged black tar heroin
  • 58 balloons of packaged black tar heroin with a packaged weight of approximately 19.5 grams
  • Scales and packaging materials

Authorities also seized two vehicles and a large amount of money, Cuthbertson said.

Arrested for trafficking heroin in excess of 28 grams were: Hector Omar Blanco Nieves, 36, last known address in Phoenix, Ariz., Enrique Gallegos Robles, 25, last known address in Los Angelos, Calif., Jesus Albert Rodrigues, 30, last known address in Mexico.

Matthew J. Negri, 42, of Murrells Inlet, is charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin.

Amanda Nicole Shirback, 25, of Murrells Inlet, is charged with possession of heroin.

All five were taken to the Georgetown County Detention Center and were being held there on Saturday afternoon, Cuthbertson said.
