HCPD investigates mysterious death of Carolina Forest girl
Horry County Police are investigating the suspicious death of a Carolina Forest child.
Police were called to Sago Palm Drive, near Legends Drive and Highway 501 in Carolina Forest Wednesday to help EMS with an unresponsive patient.
Horry County Police did not offer the name or age of the victim.
The child was taken to the hospital then died due to injuries to the head, according to a police report.
No perpetrators were named, and are being investigated for non-negligent manslaughter and murder.
