Man found shot to death at his Galivants Ferry home, police investigating
A man was found dead from a gunshot wound early Wednesday morning in his Galivants Ferry home, according to Darris Fowler, deputy coroner with Horry County.
Lyndon Tisdale, 50, of Galivants Ferry died from a gunshot and was found about 12:30 a.m. at his home on Plainfield Road, Fowler said.
An acquaintance found Tisdale unresponsive on the floor of his home with his wheelchair partly on top of him, according to Lt. Raul Denis, with Horry County police.
After entering to check on him, the acquaintance found blood around Tisdale and called for EMS. EMS personnel pronounced the man dead on the scene, Denis said.
Horry County detectives are investigating this death as a homicide, Denis said.
