Another police chase took place in the Myrtle Beach area — the second in less than a week — happened early Sunday, with Horry County Police detaining four people.

Police attempted to pull over a vehicle near S.C. 17 Bypass and Robert Grissom Parkway at 1:10 a.m. on Sunday when the car fled, Horry County Police wrote on social media. As police followed, officers saw items being tossed from the car.

Officers used stop sticks and the Grappler to stop the car. It is unclear if anyone has been arrested.

On May 22, a previous chase took place when Myrtle Beach Police tried to pull over a car with four masked individuals inside, The Sun News reported.

The car took off and this began a high-speed chase.

The people in the vehicle shot at police officers along Farrow Parkway while fleeing. The chase ended on 67th Avenue North then the car crashed.

A 17-year-old named Riley Pegram and 20-year-old Omarion Glass were arrested on various charges including three counts of attempted murder. The 17-year-old also faces a possession of a stolen vehicle charge.

Both are being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center without bail on multiple charges.
