4 people arrested after string of armed robberies in Myrtle Beach tourist areas

Myrtle Beach Police arrested four people after victims reported five armed robberies in tourist hot spots.

The robberies occurred late May 13 and early May 14, a Facebook post from Myrtle Beach Police stated. Four people were arrested, although their names have not been released.

The first happened at Broadway at the Beach, 1100 block of Celebrity Circle Drive, where the suspects approached the victims while in their vehicle. They held the two victims at gunpoint and robbed them.

Other incidents include:

  • Near 2200 North Ocean Boulevard, two people approached a man in a parking lot. They robbed him at gunpoint and then fled.
  • In the 4000 block of North Kings Highway, two subjects approached the victim’s car and tried to enter the vehicle with a gun. The victim drove away before anything happened.
  • In the 6600 block of Colonial Drive, a man was held at gunpoint and forced to withdraw cash from an ATM.
  • In the 800 block of 65th Avenue North, a woman was robbed at gunpoint.

It is unclear how much money was stolen in the robberies.
