3 arrested for allegedly beating, stabbing person in Myrtle Beach golf community
Three people were arrested after they allegedly beat and stabbed a person in a Myrtle Beach area home in the Arrowhead community.
Horry County Police arrested Winifred Eugenie Reimers, 51; Noah Ysreal Velazquez, 20; and Emil Kennedy, 50, for second degree assault and battery by a mob on May 3. Kennedy also faces an attempted murder charge.
On May 3 at about 8:20 p.m., police responded to a physical disturbance call in the 3000 block of Vesta Drive, which is located near Arrowhead Country Club, the police report said. When officers arrived, they found the victim covered in blood in the garage.
While the victim was defenseless, Kennedy stabbed the victim twice with a “small knife,” the arrest warrant said. The victim had cuts on their abdomen and their left forearm. The cut on the arm severed an artery which caused life-threatening bleeding. Kennedy also punched the victim in the head, the warrant said.
Officers had to apply a tourniquet to the victim’s arm to help stop the bleeding until EMS arrived, according to the police report.
Velazquez also punched the victim in the head, as well as their side, and Reimers attacked the person with a phone, their arrest warrants stated. The victim had a cut on the back of his head and a possible concussion.
The attacks were caught on camera.
It is unclear what led to the attack.
Velazquez and Reimers were released from J. Reuben Long Detention Center on a $10,000 bond on May 4. Kennedy is being held at the facility with a $50,000 bond.
