Police arrest man in connection with strong arm robbery
Conway police were on patrol Wednesday when they saw a suspicious man wearing all white clothing ducking between buildings at an apartment complex, authorities said.
The patrolling officers got out to investigate about 1 a.m. at the Crane Creek apartments on 1519 Grainger Road after noticing the suspect and said they heard a 45-year-old man yell he had just been robbed, police said.
Authorities said they determined it was a strong arm robbery and later caught up with the suspicious man dressed in white, but did not provide further details.
Daron L. Hunter, 24, of Conway was charged with strong arm robbery, simple possession of marijuana, and several failure to appear charges, according to jail records.
Hunter was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center Wednesday and was still incarcerated Friday morning, and his bond had not been set for the strong arm robbery charge, authorities said.
