Updated: Myrtle Beach man dies after being shot in vehicle. It has been ruled a homicide
A Myrtle Beach man is dead after being shot in a vehicle Sunday night.
Davorius Mack Jr., 18, was shot March 2 at Security Lane and Lucas Bay Road in the Bucksport area of Horry County, according to Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard by email.
Mack was transported to Conway Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 11:53 p.m., Willard said.
Kashien Charles Willis, 17, of Conway, has been charged with murder in Mack’s death, according to an arrest warrant.
Horry County Police arrested Willis March 4 on charges of murder, armed robbery and possession of a deadly weapon during a violent crime.
Willis attempted to rob the other teen by using a handgun, according to the warrant. During the robbery, Willis shot and killed the victim according to witnesses on scene, the warrant said.
The shooting has been determined to be a homicide, Willard said.
Willis remained in J. Rueben Long Detention Center March 7, 2025, without bail.
