Police investigating after man reports armed robbery and assault occurred outside his home

A 24-year-old man told police he was robbed at gunpoint and assaulted after four men approached him outside his Conway home, according to a police report.

Officers were called about 12:15 a.m. Tuesday to a home on the 1800 block of Westridge Boulevard, off U.S. 378, where the victim told police about the incident.

The victim told authorities he heard someone yell at him while he was walking through his garage and heard someone say something about his truck.

The victim said he turned around and noticed four men and one was pointing a long gun at him. He said one of the men hit him in the face with an unknown object when he refused to hand over the keys to his truck, police said.

The victim said he was robbed of cash, shoes, keys, and a loaded handgun, according to the report.

Police said the victim declined EMS treatment and said his family would take him to the emergency room to get help for cuts he had on his face.

Detectives were called to the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
