Months after young mother found shot to death in her vehicle, SC police make an arrest
A man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of a Conway mother earlier this year.
Chriwanta Bryant is accused of shooting Katelyn Bennett, 33, in her vehicle at Gore Road and Highway 905 in the Conway area on April 3, 2024, according to a police report.
Bryant, 29, allegedly shot Bennett multiple times about her body, an arrest warrant said.
He was connected to the shooting through his cell phone location and digital evidence on his phone, the warrant said.
It is unclear what led to the shooting of Bennett.
Bryant was arrested on Nov. 19 and remains in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center without bond.
