Myrtle Beach police charge 21-year-old man in shooting near park
Myrtle Beach police charged a 21-year-old man in connection with a shooting earlier this month at Chapin Park, according to a police report.
Waylon Wesley Waldrop, 21, was charged Thursday with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and booked into the Myrtle Beach Jail, according to jail records.
A report about the incident showed that officers were called about 10:30 p.m. July 18 to 1501 N. Ocean Blvd., for a report about the shooting that occurred at 16th Avenue North and kings Highway on the north side of the park.
A 22-year-old man was listed as the victim in the report, but no other details were available.
