SC teen shoots person during armed robbery in his neighborhood, police say. What happened?

Conway Police arrested a teenager after he allegedly shot someone multiple times during an armed robbery in his neighborhood.

Malachi Rayquan Alston, 18, was arrested on Nov. 4 for armed robbery, attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. On Oct. 12, Alston allegedly shot at the victim while robbing him of his personal items along Forest Loop Road, according to the police reports.

The victim had gunshot wounds in his arm and back, resulting in life threatening injuries, the police reports said.

The relationship between the victim and Alston, who lives on Forest Loop Road, was not included in the report. It is also unclear what kind of gun Alston was using.

Alston is currently being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center without bail, according to the booking website.
