NC man steals Halloween decorations from SC city. Thief’s ghoulish crime caught on camera
A North Carolina man has been arrested for stealing Halloween decorations from the City of Conway.
Trey Shawn Dukes, 22, of Lake Waccamaw, was charged on Oct. 28 with petit larceny after he took decorations valued at $810 on 200 Laurel Street.
The city has placed decorations throughout the city for Halloween, even changing its name to the City of Halloween for the holiday.
It is unclear what Dukes took. But he could be seen on city surveillance videos on Oct. 25 taking items.
Dukes was released Tuesday from J. Reuben Long Detention Center on a $2,125 bond.
