A man has barricaded himself into a Forestbrook home Tuesday evening after the Horry County Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve him papers, according to a Facebook post from the Horry County Police Department.

Other homes along Summit Trail have been evacuated out of caution as Horry County Police officers respond to the situation, the post said. Police also asked people to stay away from the site.

Horry County Police were able to bring the man, whose identity was not shared, into custody about 5:30 p.m.

Horry County Special Operations worked on negotiations and drone surveillance as well.
