NC woman cashes $100 stolen lottery ticket, police say. It’s not enough to pay $1,000 bond
A North Carolina woman was charged with stealing a lottery ticket and then cashing it for $100 at a Little River gas station.
Dedriana Ruby Bryant, 30, was arrested on Oct. 13, 2024, by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division with two counts of intent to defraud, counterfeit game tickets.
Bryant cashed the scratch-off ticket at Circle K, 13 Highway 90 East in Little River, on June 24, 2024, according to an arrest warrant. Bryant allegedly stole the ticket from a Refuel in Little River the same day, the warrant said.
She is charged with defrauding the South Carolina Education Lottery
Bryant was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center where she remained Tuesday on a $2,000 bond for the charges.
