Georgetown police arrest two men in connection with weekend break-ins

Georgetown Police Department officials said two men were arrested in connection with a recent rash of break-ins, according to a press release.

Thomas Dylan Prince, 20, of Greenville was charged with receiving stolen goods, two counts of larceny, and tampering with a motor vehicle, police said.

William John Liles, 26, of Georgetown was charged with two counts of receiving stolen goods, two counts of larceny, and tampering with a motor vehicle, authorities said.

Police said the thefts occurred Friday in the Georgetown Historic District, Willowbank and Country Club Estates, and that most items that were taken have been recovered and identified.

Authorities said they are asking that residents in the affected areas check to see if they are missing anything.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected to be filed, according to Captain Nelson E. Brown, spokesman with Georgetown Police Department.

Liles and Prince are each currently being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center, and their bond was not listed, according to jail records.
