Update: One dead in shooting near SC Bojangles during Tropical Storm Debby. Victim named

One person is dead and another is injured after an afternoon shooting at a Bojangles in Loris, said Loris Police Chief Gary Buley.

The shooting happened around 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 7 at the Bojangles in downtown Loris, 4207 Main St. The injured person was taken to the hospital.

Kenasia Martin died of injuries sustained near Walnut Street, according to an email from Horry County Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden. Martin, 22, was from Greensboro, North Carolina.

Feleshisa Goodman will be charged for the shooting, Buley said. She is in custody in North Carolina as the Loris Police Department waits to extradite her.

The shooting happened during Tropical Storm Debby, which dumped around 15 inches of rain on the area.

Other details about the shooting were unavailable, including what happened to cause the shooting.
