Traffic stop leads to recovery of stolen motorcycle
Myrtle Beach police recover a stolen motorcycle and make an arrest after a routine traffic stop.
Police arrested Justin Creighton, 23, for possession of the stolen motorcycle.
A police officer was behind a group of motorcycles Saturday about 11:45 p.m. when the officer noticed one of the bikes had a tail light out, according to the police report.
The officer then initiated the traffic stop. According to the report, when the officer asked Creighton to turn off the bike, the officer noticed that he did not use a key, he used wires.
The officer then ran the plate numbers and discovered the plate did not belong to the motorcycle.
A check of the bike’s VIN number revealed that the motorcycle was reported missing from Burlington, North Carolina.
