Police investigate after valuables taken during home break-in

Police were called after two roommates noticed money, a television and other valuables were taken from their apartment.

A 24-year-old victim told police he received a phone call from his 24-year-old roommate when he got off work saying their apartment had been broken into, police said.

Authorities were called about 11:30 p.m. Sunday to an apartment at 6301 Timberline St., off 65th Avenue North, where the 24-year-old male victims told police a 32-inch television was taken, along with a Louis Vuitton-brand bag, money, and two gold necklaces, according to the police report.

Police said a back window screen had been cut and removed, and two neighbors heard loud noises coming from the home, authorities said.

One of the nearby neighbors told police he saw someone trying to get into the apartment about 9:30 p.m. that evening, but didn’t get a good enough look at the suspect to give police a description, authorities said.

The neighbor told police he assumed the suspect was a resident there who had been locked out.

Crime scene officers were called out to investigate the incident, and no arrests had been made in connection with the break-in by Tuesday morning.
