Myrtle Beach police released a composite sketch of a suspect wanted in connection to a Saturday evening shooting that left one person inured.

Police are still investigating a shooting that happened late Saturday evening in the 1500 block of North Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach.

The victim – a passenger in a vehicle – was stopped in traffic and exchanged words with a man walking on the sidewalk, according to Lt. Joey Crosby with Myrtle Beach police.

The altercation became physical, and the male walking on the sidewalk produced a firearm and shot the victim, according to Crosby.

The victim was transported to the hospital, Crosby said.

The suspect is described as a white man, in his 20s, slim build, and last seen wearing a black shirt and shorts. The suspect ran north on Ocean Boulevard.

No arrests have been made at this time.
