Update: Myrtle Beach police seek suspect in Ocean Boulevard shooting

Myrtle Beach police are investigating a shooting that happened late Saturday evening in the 1500 block of North Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach.

Lt. Joey Crosby with the Myrtle Beach Police Department said that while stopped in traffic, the victim – a passenger in a vehicle – exchanged words with a man walking on the sidewalk.

The altercation became physical, and the male walking on the sidewalk produced a firearm and shot the victim, according to Crosby.

The victim was transported to the hospital, but no report was available on his condition.

The suspect is described as a white man, in his 20s, slim build, and last seen wearing a black shirt and shorts. The suspect ran north on Ocean Boulevard.
