Update: 20-year-old shot and killed while sitting in vehicle in Carolina Forest

One person was killed in a shooting that occurred in Carolina Forest on Monday.

David Roldan-Dimas, 20, of York County, was shot while sitting in his vehicle at 1049 Glenforest Road, the Horry County Coroner’s Office said Tuesday. Roldan-Dimas died at the scene of his injuries.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of Glenforest Road in reference to a shooting around 11 p.m., a police report said. They located a victim inside a black Chevy Camaro which collided with a parked white Nissan, according to an incident report.

The victim had multiple gunshot wounds. Officers initially attempted to perform CPR, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, the report says.

No arrests have been made.

Horry County Police is still investigating.
