An Ohio man was arrested Thursday for murder after allegedly strangling a woman in a Myrtle Beach area home Tuesday, according to a police warrant.

Blake William Linkous, 18, of Blue Rock, was arrested by Horry County Police Department.

An arrest warrant said that Linkous caused the woman’s death by manually strangling her.

The woman was identified Friday as Natalie Martin, 18, of Roseville, Ohio, according to the Horry County Coroner’s Office. She was discovered unresponsive in her hotel room on Maison Drive.

Linkous was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center where he remained Friday without bond.

Police responded to a home on Maison Drive Wednesday in regards to a deceased female, a police report said. A death investigation was launched, which later led to the arrest of Linkous.
