Grand Strand SC man solicited someone he believed was a minor for sex, investigators say

A Myrtle Beach man was arrested and charged with a sex crime against a minor, the South Carolina Attorney General’s office announced Thursday.

Internet Crimes against Children task force investigators with the Goose Creek Police Department arrested Bryan Franklin Snead, 52, of Myrtle Beach on May 26. Snead is charged with criminal solicitation of a minor and could face up to 10 years if convicted, a release from the Attorney General’s office stated.

Investigators with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service as well as the Mount Pleasant Police Department, assisted with this case.

The Sun News has requested the incident report and arrest warrant for Snead.

Snead solicited people they believed to be minors for sex, according to the release. No other addition information was included.

He was granted a cash surety bond of $30,000, according to the Berkeley County Public Index.
