North Myrtle Beach police gear stolen while Navy supplies were being delivered recovered
The North Myrtle Beach Police Department was able to recover department gear that was stolen while officers delivered supplies to the U.S. Navy Thursday.
The police department posted on Facebook Friday afternoon that “thanks to the assistance of our community we have recovered this missing property, and have all the information we need to investigate the incident.”
However, the post did not say what department gear was taken.
In a release Thursday evening, the department said, “Today while supplies were being dropped off for our Navy Sailors working off of our coast, someone decided to take some equipment that was being used while dropping off these supplies.”
The department provided a photo of a blue truck and white trailer that might be associated with the crime.
The department is asking anyone with information to call the non-emergency line at 843-280-5511 or text or call the North Myrtle Beach Detective Tip Hotline at 843-447-9376.
