Subjects identified in North Myrtle Beach armed robbery at Burlington Coat Factory

The North Myrtle Beach Police Department has identified subjects involved in a strong-armed robbery at the Burlington Coat Factory Dec. 20.

The department released a video online showing a man and a woman fleeing from the scene after having an altercation with an employee. The subjects fled in a red-colored SUV, the department said.

The suspects were identified as Alicia Nicole Gibson and Christopher Najee Lamont Corbin, both residents of Fayettteville, North Carolina.

According to a police record, Gibson attempted to roll a shopping cart out of the clothing store after the merchandise alarm went off. After Gibson was stopped and asked to reveal what was in her cart by an employee, she responded, asking if the employee was “trying to get sued.”

The two suspects fled with a young child, according to the incident report. Strong armed robbery arrest warrants for Gibson and Corbin were issued Jan. 4.
